Compatibility and Usage

The Super CD-ROM² unit was designed for maximum flexibility, supporting nearly all PC Engine hardware:

• Direct Connection: It can connect directly to the PC Engine, CoreGrafx, CoreGrafx II, and SuperGrafx consoles without any adapter.

• Adapter Needed: An adapter (PI-AD18) is required to connect it to the portable PC Engine LT model.

• Game Compatibility: The unit can play both original CD-ROM² and Super CD-ROM² game libraries.

• Alternative Upgrade Path: Users who already owned the original CD-ROM² drive could achieve Super CD-ROM² compatibility by simply purchasing the Super System Card HuCard
